Word Explosion

In the past week or so Aria's vocabulary has exploded, probably doubled what it had been!  It is so amazing to see her wanting to speak and trying out the different sound combinations.  Then all of a sudden an actual word pops out and mom and dad get so excited!  This, of course, prompts Aria to say it over and over until it is committed to memory.  The current rate of her learning is just so amazing and interesting to me.  At what other point in life do we learn something new as often as a toddler?  Can you even imagine how much knowledge we would have if we learned at that pace as adults?  Of course, we probably do learn new things just as often, but they are not committed to memory because most of them are unnecessary blips of information from our chaotic world.  Needless to say, I am enjoying this toddler stage so very much!  Aria's expressions, words, and gestures are so cute and fun!  I'm thankful that my 'job' every day is to foster her learning and play endlessly!
