Childlike Faith

To begin our bedtime prayers, I always ask Aria what she wants to thank Jesus for.  The answers are random and often have to do with our activities that day.  But tonight she was quiet for awhile.  Then she said,

"Jesus died on the cross.  I want to die on the cross.  I want to be like Jesus."

I think my heart skipped a beat.  I think I was just given a glimpse of what Jesus meant when he said, "Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." Mark 10:15

Her wheels are turning.  I pray they keep on turning and that she wants to be like Jesus for the rest of her life.
