You meet her at one of her favorite restaurants, Red Lobster.
You help her open her presents.
I asked Aria what she wanted to get Grandma for her birthday. She wasn't sure so I asked what she liked to do with Grandma. "Play Play Doh." But she decided that probably wasn't a good present for grandma. Next she came up with a squirrel house because Grandma loves nature and animals and they enjoy watching the dogs chase the squirrels at her house. We couldn't find a squirrel house, but found a squirrel feeder and food. I thought it was a pretty thoughtful gift!
You bake Grandma some brownies, but you don't think you should get them out at Red Lobster so you go to the mall food court to eat them.
Then you have to check out the rides.
Good thing Grandma is generally small enough to fit inside kid's rides.
Next comes the carousel.
Grandma is so silly.
You even get to check out some college hockey.
Everything is fun with Grandma around! We are quite thankful for the special role she plays in all of our lives. She is selfless, energetic, happy, generous, fun, loving, courageous, and just plain special!
